Courses taught online at Monash have the same curriculum and study plans as our on-campus courses.

The biggest difference between in-person subjects and online subjects is that there are no set meeting times, enabling you to study on your own schedule. Instead of mandatory lectures, your units consist of weekly assignments, self-guided learning and discussion board topics.

You will also interact with your instructors and peers during bi-weekly, informal live sessions known as “office hours”. These sessions are a great time to ask questions, bounce ideas off of your peers and benefit from supplemental instruction. (All synchronous aspects of your course will be in IST.)

In addition, Monash online courses in India feature curriculum that has been customised to the local market. While the core curriculum is the same as a Monash on-campus unit, faculty may include local case studies and examples to enhance the learning experience.

Our advisors will walk you through the application and enrollment processes step by step. They are there to support you in choosing the course that is right for you and will continue to support you as you make your way through your degree. You may contact them by phone at +91 892 970 0398, WhatsApp at +16035076694 or email at students@onlineindia.monash.edu

Once you are admitted as a Monash student you will have access to the same online resources that are available to in-person students. You will have access to Monash's online library and MoVE (Monash Virtual Environment), where you can find the specialised software and applications you'll need for your courses.

In addition, our faculty members have chosen to teach our subjects because they are passionate about online education and the opportunities it opens up for Indian students. Throughout the term they are available to support you through any particularly challenging units, to answer your questions on assignments and to help mentor you in your chosen field.

When the time comes toward the end of your degree to start job hunting or pitching your promotion, our career support specialists are available as a resource to you. They can help you with CV checks, mock job interviews and specific career service events.

Our units are practice based and the types of assignments will vary depending on the course you choose. Typical units include written assignments, reports, case studies, online quizzes, group presentations and discussion boards.

Units are hosted fully on our Learning Management System (LMS), and any textbooks and any external resources you’ll need will be found there.

Reach out to an academic adviser to learn more about the curriculum and workload for your chosen course.

Yes. In a Monash online unit, there are many opportunities to interact with and benefit from your community of instructors and peers.

Weekly discussion boards enable you to share your points of view and learn from your peers, and some units consist of group projects in which you can collaborate even more closely. Each Monash online unit also consists of optional live, biweekly "office hours" sessions, which allow you to interact directly with instructors and peers in real-time.

Monash online faculty are available to provide additional guidance via email, and you may also set up 1:1 meetings as needed.

Our online faculty members are readily available via discussion forums, email, and regular live “office hours” sessions. Students can also contact instructors to set up 1:1 meetings for additional support.

No, your diploma will be identical to that of an on-campus Monash student in Australia.

Each academic term is six weeks long with two weeks in between each term. In total, there are six term starts per year. You will be able to access your unit one week before the term start.
